Riverside King Valley

Riverside King Valley is set on a 16 acres on the banks of the King River in King Valley Victoria, half an hour drive from Wangaratta, 45 minutes from Benalla and an hour from Mansfield.

Featuring 10 spacious campsite spread along 1Km of river frontage.  Our campsites are shaded and grassy, most are by the River, withe the exception of 2 of the 3 powered sites we offer that are set 50-100m from the river bank.Each campsite offers something a little different whether it is a large site for a large group or a smaller site for a family weekend away. Riverside King Valley is accessible for all vehicle types and is off leash dog-friendly as long as pets are well-controlled. Pick up after your pets!

Campfires are permitted when restrictions aren’t in place, host will indicate via message/ email the day prior to a day of total fire ban, signs will also be posted at the amenities block, firewood and kindling are available for purchase (see Extras).

Powered sites have only one 15amp Electrical hookup available per site please be aware some of these powered sites are not on the river bank. Generators can be used, but must be used with others in mind between the hours of 8am and 8pm (see campsite rules)

The river is ideal for swimming, tubing, canoeing and fishing. Choose either to stay by river or go and explore the many attractions of the King Valley. Surrounded by picturesque countryside and close to the region’s attractions including Powers Lookout, Lake William Hovell, Paradise Falls, King River Brewing, Restaurants, Wineries and Distilleries of the Iconic King Valley.

Please keep in mind that the property is a farm and there will be cars and machinery onsite nearby to some of the sites. we ask that guests and their parties respect their surroundings and please do not enter any cars or sheds on the property for your safety.

Paradise Falls

Located in the stunning Alpine National Park, Paradise Falls cascades an uninterrupted 31 metres from a conglomerate rock formation. The walk to the viewing platform is a well-made but steep stepped track. From here, you can take in the spectacular falls and watch the stream wind down through the landscape

Powers Lookout

Powers Lookout is one of the most iconic historical sites in the King Valley. It’s named after Harry Power, a notorious bushranger (outlaw) in the mid-19th century, who used the rugged terrain of the King Valley as a hideout.

William Hovell Dam

The William Hovell Dam is a rock and earth-fill embankment dam with a flip bucket chute spillway across the King River, operated by Pacific Blue and located in the Hume region of Victoria, Australia. The purposes of the dam are for irrigation and the generation of hydroelectricity.

River Flats Camp  sites are spacious and shaded by River Red Gum Trees and on the edge of the King river with fire ring pits and hot plate/ grill, plus an abundance of open grassy area for recreation.

River Flats Powered Great shady but not on the edge of the river. Beautiful mowed grassed river flat campsites. Idyllic location. With the use of toilet and shower. All sites have a fire pit and BBQ hotplate/grill

River Bank Bush Camp is an extra large riverside bush campsite. It has a designated fire pit with hot plate, Campers will need to have own amenities and leave no trace.

Roadside River Camp site is on the edge of the King river, about 50m from the main Wangaratta-Whitfield .Road. Very spacious camp site with fire pit and hot plate, plus an abundance of open grass area for parking, camping and recreation.

Roadside Camp Powered is on the edge of the King river, about 30m from the main Wangaratta-Whitfield Road. Very spacious camp site with fire pit and hot plate, plus an abundance of open grass area for parking, camping and recreation. With the use of flush toilet and Hot shower.

Robinia Forest e very spacious private camp site on the edge of the King river in a shady Robinia forest with a great swimming hole crystal clear pristine water, rocky bank access. Campers will need to have own amenities and leave no trace. BYO everything inc toilet shower or hire our Porta Toilet and Ensuite Tent.
